Guide Profiles
Jason Haslam - Owner/Guide
A Utah native, Jason has had the opportunity to fly fish all over the state of Utah and many of the West's famous trout waters for the last 15 years. Jason has a strong desire to see his clients succeed on the river, and will do whatever it takes to make his trips successful ones. Not only is Jason an experienced fly fisher, he is also an experienced fly tier. He prides himself in tying and developing small tailwater trout flies that match the year-round hatches of the Provo River. He's also a fly innovator for Rainy's Flies. When Jason isn't chasing trout on local rivers and lakes, you can find him fishing for bass, bluegill, wipers, and even tiger muskie which has made him into a well-rounded fly fisher. In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and little girl as well as serving as the VP of Operations for his local Trout Unlimited Chapter, The Stonefly Society.

Jason Baracz - Guide
Jason was born in Provo, Utah and was raised near the mouth of Provo Canyon. A Utah native, Jason has spent years exploring the local waters; fly fishing for the last 14 years and guiding for the last 7 years. Jason enjoys the time he gets to spend with clients on his home waters and sharing the knowledge he has acquired over a decade of fly fishing the waters he guides on. Whether you are a beginner or a avid fly fisherman, Jason can find the right water to meet your desires. He's always willing to spend the time teaching his clients to read the water, tune up their casting, or learning about the different hatches and how best to match them. It's no surprise that Jason is one of our most client requested guides. Jason enjoys spending his spare time with his 4 year old daughter. He also enjoys being in the outdoors and takes advantage of Utah's pristine landscapes by hiking and backpacking as often as he can. If he's not fishing or spending time in the outdoors, you can usually find Jason hunched over the vice tying up a batch of some of his well known "guide flies".
